PA online casino revenues continue to break records according to the latest revenue report released by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on Friday. For September, PA online casinos generated over $57 million on the month, with Rivers Casino Philadelphia at the top of the heap for another month with over $16 million in total revenues.
The figure from September was over a million over August’s numbers and indicates that players continue to be flocking to online casinos despite the reopening of retail casinos in PA during the summer.
Rivers Casinos held the lead in overall revenues with $16,115.147 with Penn National a distant second at $10,192,042 through DraftKings PA. However, the Penn National number represents a big increase from $6,560,733 during the previous month, which likely received a bump from an influx of DraftKings customers flocking to the casino due to the start of the NFL season.
Eleven online casinos have launched in the state over the last year and a half. During September, casinos generated $24.3 million in tax revenues for the state of Pennsylvania.
The biggest PA casinos by game type
Although BetRivers dominated the overall figures for September, revenue leaders are split by game category.
Rivers Casino’s $14.5 million in slot revenues more than doubled any other online casino in the state. Rivers Casino operates the BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse brands. Second in revenue was the Parx Casino, which narrowly beat Valley Forge (FanDuel) and Penn National (DraftKings PA).
It was a different story at table games as Penn National took the overall prize with $5.6 million generated through DraftKings, beating Valley Forge’s FanDuel brand, which generated $4 million.
As the only online poker room in the state, Mount Airy and partner PokerStars generated almost $2.4 million in revenue during the month. Additional online poker rooms such as partypoker and WSOP.com are expected to come to the state soon.
