The Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker (PACOOP) through PokerStars offers plenty of variety for poker players and a huge amount of prizes, as well. The main event of the promotion is the $300 No Limit Hold’em Main Event that offers a $200,000 guarantee. The event runs from September 19 to October 5.
Special offers added to promotion
You can even play the special $300 main limit event without paying the entry fee. Just deposit $30 or more using the code PACOOP before Oct. 4 and get a ticket to the Main Event Depositor Freeroll, which starts at 2 p.m. ET on Oct. 4 and offers $7,500 (25) in main event entries.
There are also several second-chance offers. If you fall short of the money in any PACOOP event, you will receive a ticket to a special freeroll, which will award $1,250 in satellite tickets and entries to other events in the promotion.
The second-chance freerolls run daily at 4:50 p.m. ET from September 20 to October 4 and offer players $18,750 in entries into other contests.
No freeroll tickets are awarded on the last day of play (October 5).
The promotions are open to new and existing users.
Dozens of tournaments available
There are at least two poker tournaments offered to players daily starting on Sept. 19, with six being offered on Sundays throughout the promotion.
Buy-ins range from $20 to the $300 main event.
Most tournaments are of the no-limit variety, but there are also a few PLO games, fixed-limit, stud and five-card draw events as well.
For No-Limit Hold’em and PLO contests, there are several different variations of rules. Prizes range from $10,000 guaranteed to $100,000 guaranteed, not including the main event on October 4.
Take advantage of first-time deposit bonus
If you are a Pennsylvania resident, and you haven’t tried PokerStars Mount Airy Casino yet, there’s a big deposit bonus you can use to coincide with PACOOP.
Use the code ‘STARS600’ and get a 100% bonus up to $600. The bonus can be claimed in up to three deposits in 60 days, and it’s matched up to 100 percent, meaning if you make a $600 deposit you will receive a $600 bonus.
To be eligible to withdraw the bonus, you will have to earn redemption points. Five redemption points are awarded for every $1 you pay in tournament fees or rake.
Every time you earn 140 redemption points, PokerStars will credit your account with $10 cash. The site says that works out to at least 35 percent on every dollar you spend.
Users have four months after each qualifying bonus to release the bonus.
