A Betting Preview Of The 2020 Pittsburgh Steelers; Learn How You Can Make A “No-Brainer” Bet On DraftKings During Week 1

2020 Pittsburgh Steelers Betting Preview

2020 Pittsburgh Steelers Betting Preview

The NFL season is nearly upon us and the DraftKings Sportsbook has released a promo so absurd, it’s hard to believe. The “KC +101 No-Brainer” allows bettors to risk up to $50 on the Chiefs to just not lose by more than 101 points. No, that’s not a typo. It’s the best promo bet I’ve seen for the NFL and it’s open right now on DraftKings.

The promotional period runs from September 1st until September 10th at 8:20 p.m. Users will be issued a single-use odds boost for the Kansas City Chiefs to cover the +101 spread. The boosted odds are -110 and the maximum bet is $50. Users can find the market on the DraftKings Sportsbook main page.

It’s titled “No Brainer Bets.” You’ll see the title “KC +101 No-Brainer.” You can also find the market from the Rewards/Promotions page or navigate to “DK Promotions” under “A-Z Sports” and select the “KC +101” market. Users must select the boost in their bet slip before placing the bet. The promo excludes live bets, parlays, free bets, cash-out bets, voided bets, and odds boosts. The max is one qualifying bet per user, and the promotion applies only to those in PA, CO, NJ, IL, IN, and WV.

2020 Steelers preview

It’s nearly the dawn of the start of the 2020 season in Pittsburgh and the worst-case scenarios for the offense are in the rearview mirror. We’ve seen a world without Big Ben and even James Conner and Juju (for short stints) and it’s not a pretty one. The Steelers managed to overcome the loss of Big Ben, and a dreadful 0-3 start, to go 8-2 and position themselves for a playoff spot. At 8-5, the Steelers had resurrected their defensive identity and injected life into a fan base that was suffering just a couple months before. Ultimately, poor quarterback play was the reason the Steelers tripped down the stretch, as a Week 16 choke job (against the Jets) sealed their fate.

As kickoff for the 2020 season inches closer, the Steelers are back with Big Ben feeling healthier than he has in the last 13 years. Juju Smith-Schuster and James Conner also appear healthy and ready to go.

According to the DraftKings Sportsbook, the Steelers are +350 to win the division (the Ravens are favorites at -225). However, the Steelers are -137 to make the playoffs. Last year’s trade with the Dolphins for Minkah Fitzpatrick seemed odd at the time, especially considering the position the team was in after losing Big Ben. Regardless, the trade showed the organization wasn’t ready to give up on the season, and it paid off in a huge way. Fitzpatrick had five interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and had nine passes defended.

A Prediction for the 2020 Pittsburgh Steelers

I like the Steelers to go 11-5 this season, Big Ben to win NFL Comeback Player of the Year (+300 odds at DraftKings), and the Steelers to make a deep playoff run. There are only a few teams in the AFC with the defensive talent to give the Chiefs and Ravens trouble in the postseason, and the Steelers are one of them.

Reports from camp are praising the velocity on Big Ben’s passes and his rejuvenated demeanor. With a healthy Ben Rothlisberger and an elite defense, the sky is the limit this season.
